Mark Maiorano

Meet Owner And Lead Riding Instructor Mark Maiorano. Horses and all things horse related have always been Mark’s life passion. Originally from the northeast, now in sunny southern California, Mark started riding at the age of six. He won his very first blue ribbon in a Lead Line class at a 4H fair in New York. Quickly, he moved on to the Short Stirrup division, Children’s Hunter, Amateur Owner’s and more. Mark has spent years fine tuning his riding skills in a simultaneous pursuit of perfection and new challenges. He has won many Championships and Reserve Championships along the way.

Mark believes that structured, progressive learning is the key to riding success. He himself has attended many riding clinics with Jeff Cook, Kristine Stephenson and others. He uses the Morris System of Riding for teaching his students the skills they need to be successful riders. Over the past 25 years, Mark has trained many students who have gone on to win Championships and enjoy the successful and rewarding experience of horseback riding.

Lizbeth "Liz" Brown

Early in her riding career Liz traded work as a groom for her own lessons; this experience instilled the importance of being a horse person, not just a rider. After years of hunter/jumper lessons in her 20's, she started taking dressage lessons and focused on dressage for over 5 years. In 2010 she made the change from an office job and grooming on the weekends to working full time in the horse world. Since then, she has groomed, cared for, and ridden a variety of horses from fresh off the track thoroughbreds to A-circuit show horses. She has also taught several types of riders including 3 year-olds on their first ride, riders who've lost their confidence, and seasoned riders looking to fine tune dressage movements or smooth out their jumping. Fueled by her passion for riding and helping others she strives to understand why we do things, and not just how to do them, so that she and her clients can be better partners for their horses. Blending her experiences from Natural Horsemanship, Dressage and Hunter/Jumper Liz follows a horse-first philosophy that she applies to her teaching and riding.
